I have been working on improving the wlan-slo main page. This page has not been updated in a long time and it is crucial at introducing new people to mesh networking.
The mainpage of wlanslovenia hasn’t been updated in years. Thats why we have decided to update it. I started of by making a docker container that includes the mainpage. As the project hasn’t been updated in a long time it had a lot of broken dependencies. I spent a lot of time trying to fix bugs and compatibility issues of different python modules. I added docker-compose support for easier setup.
In other news
I have attended the weakly Freifunk meeting at c-base in Berlin and hanged out with a few members. I have also worked on improving the IP space module by adding small adjusments to it.
There is still a lot of work to do in the next month, i will do the following:
- Add nginx and uWSGI support
- Remove integrated nodwatcher support and replace it with nodewatcher api
- Fix broken map by updating to current api
- Update the design of the page
